Why Talk about How I Feel? It Hurts

Bring all of you into the light, and find you are still acceptable. Bring all of you online and find you are capable and loveable, fully you. Examining our emotions helps us to identify ways to get change in our lives. Our emotions are a signal to guide us, and we can either be aimlessly driven by them, or utilize them to get to where we want to go.

Why Soul Work Matters: “Me” and God

Let’s define soul. In greek, the meaning is “breathe” or “psyche”. Soul is a “being”, or a “person”. This is the essence of a human created in the image of God, by his BREATH.

Soul work allows us to explore the mind, will and emotions as they connect to God. It is identity discovery — in learning about the unique design that is your masterpiece: you. You are a gift and you are lovable, enough, good and significant!

How to Get Your Child to Obey*

Over time, we're shepherding their hearts. It's an investment, and we're not going to see the payoff right away because they are supposed to make the wrong choices and learn from making the right ones.

It’s imperative that our children and teens have some autonomous thinking as they grow. They will start to weigh the difference between the right choice without pain, or even with a little pain (like patience or delayed gratification). If we start this paradigm shift at a younger age, then the investment pays off earlier, or at just the right time.

If you get stuck in a typical parenting cycle of forcing or controlling, and you are using your power…

Why Feelings Matter

Listening to the voice of your mad is not bad. Yours nor anyone else’s. Neither is sadness, guilt, shame, fear and all the other God-given red flags that come up when we have a need.

Tell me you don’t have feelings, and I’ll help you see where they leak out in your life.

However, we often fear the mad that comes out of our body. It’s a powerful force; a chemical energy made to fight! Instead, we put away our “no” and our “stop that” and we suck it up. This may lead a child to lose her sense of dignity or lead to low self esteem.

Ridding of Panic and Unhelpful Fear

Surrendering is a commitment, and an emotional response to your fear. Make a safety plan for the real danger, and surrender the rest. Take remaining worries captive. Receive peace and trust that everything is okay. You are safe. You are loveable. Accept that your mind is messing with you, and that your subconscious is trying to keep you safe; by creating a God-given reaction in order to protect your body. However, understand it is a false alarm and embrace it. Receive peace. Breathe it in, over and over again, until you receive it. Let the fear come, do its job, and then let it go.
